History

Interestingly, the trumipine hamlets up and trumpe down belong to the El Bejucal canton, jurisdiction of the municipality of Society, Department of Morazán and limit with the department of La Unión, particularly close to where the famous mines of San Sebastián, jurisdiction of Santa Rosa de Lima de Lima .

Although currently those gold mines are no longer exploited by any foreign company - as in the past - when the bosses were Canadians, Americans or Spanish, nearby communities such as trumbine above and trumpe Little of the residues that remain from the valuable metal, which still exploit the close communities in an artisanal way.

There are still some anecdotes that emerged among the people who did not give their arm to twist and continued to dig, despite the fact that foreign companies left the mines for their low performance, after at least they obtained about 100 pounds of pure gold every week, with an approximate value of about $ 50 a gram. However, little by little production was decreasing and had to withdraw from the country.

But the nearby residents did not give up and continued to dig as much as they could, where some obtained strong profits, but just as they earned the money in the same way they spent it in orgies or bachannels. There were few who knew how to invest their profits and live a better life.

Unfortunately, in the middle of the thirst for gold there were people who died in their attempt to become rich, some for accidents, others for poisoning with arsenic and other venerating compounds, as well as by the underground currents that ended not only with their aspirations but also with their lives.

Others, however, stayed only to count on the good times they lived but did not know how to take advantage, and now live in the poverty and contempt of the people whom they belittled when they had plenty of money at full hands.
